Mid Height Eco Tray Paks are the latest trend in eco-friendly DVD packaging and replace the plastic jewelcases. Choose from biodegradable fiberboard or recycled content (70-100%), coated or uncoated paper stock. These are custom manufactured - we can make your package any way you like!

Fiberboard paper stock gives packages a rough texture. Material is very absorbent and results in a soft, organic look. You can use the natural unbleached paper color as part of your art, prints colors directly on it for a muted effect, or print with a white area to help them stand out more. Recycled Paper stock is almost indistinguishable from regular paper stock in appearance. The more the recycled content, the softer the feel. Our standard stock, 20-30% recycled content is more firm and better suited to special effects printing, while our Truly Eco stock is a very high percentage post consumer waster (70-80% recycled content!) and tends to be a softer stock. 100% recycled stock can also be ordered. Recycled can be ordered in coated or uncoated stock (very matte and a little absorbent) to suit your art.

Traypaks use a clear DVD tray (available new or recycled) to hold the disc. The panel underneath is printed as well as the inside spines. Our printing includes 4C/4C PIPS (printed inside pockets and spines) or reverse inside printing. We can also make these packages without the plastic trays using pocket, foam hubs, paper trays (100% recycled paper, compressed with cork hubs) or foam trays. If you have a multi-disc title, we can use multiple trays. Traypaks can be 4 panel on up to 10 or 12 panels or more. Slipcases (printed 4C) are a great addition to wrap these. Booklets are easily added with slots, thumbhole, or tube pockets, or literature slots.

DVD Replication with Custom Tray Packaging (mid height trays) - Build a Package

Instructions: To build your package, choose quantity, disc, packaging, and assembly. Your final product can be modified to add extra discs, customized with special printing effects, modify packaging style, add booklets, etc. Feel free to use Project Notes below for clarification or if you get stuck.

Discs
Includes the manufacturing of pressed discs & disc printing.

Pressed discs- injection molding, (i.e., substrate is poured out into mold), metal layer with data is formed with metal stamper (made from glass master made from client master).

Recordable DVD-Rs are made with a special layer that allows you to write the content.
You may want to use DVD-Rs if you have a special need like frequently changing data.

Mini DVDs are 8cm round DVD5s.

Clear Substrate Discs - uses a mini disc mask with clear substrate out to the edges. Data Size will be small, physical size the same as a standard full size dvd.

Disc Manufacturing
Includes the manufacturing / data replication / pressing of discs from your supplied master.

Disc Printing
Up to 5-color offset from your art file (film production included). If you're not familiar with this, 5C is full color (many replicators allow only 3C in the price) and Offset Printing is the highest quality (gorgeous picture discs, almost always an extra charge - it's free here, part of our way of making sure these are WOW discs.)

Proof discs
Provided (pressed & printed) for your approval. We set up the press and manufacture & print your proof disc. It is the only way to make absolutely certain that it's perfect. We'll send to you for approval.
